On Saturday November 11th, the Pan Arcadian Federation of America and the Midwest District hosted the mayor of Tripoli, Dr. Kostas Tzioumis along with his wife Dr. Vicky at the Arcadian House in Elmhurst, IL, as they visited Chicago for leisure.
The Midwest District Governor, Kostas Lambrakis, along with other officers hosted lunch for the mayor and his wife, along with over 50 Arcadians.
Mayor Tzioumis shared his sentiments and gratitude toward the Arcadians of the diaspora, especially the efforts and support of the Pan Arcadian Hospital and the University of Peloponnese.
At the luncheon, we had the honor of having 5 past presidents of the Pan-Arcadian Federation of America join us for the visit as well George K. Sourounis (1998-2000), Dimitrios Karalekas (2004-2006), Dr. Peter Evangelou (2006-2008), Evangelos Potakis (2010-2012) and Andreas Papantoniou (2016-2022).
Το Σάββατο 11 Νοεμβρίου, η Παναρκαδική Ομοσπονδία Αμερικής και η Μεσοδιτική Περιφέρεια φιλοξένησαν τον Δήμαρχο Τρίπολης Δρ. Κώστα Τζιούμη μαζί με τη σύζυγό του Δρ. Βίκυ στο Αρκαδικό σπίτι.
Ο Δήμαρχος μοιράστηκε τα συναισθήματα και την ευγνωμοσύνη του προς τους Αρκάδες της διασποράς, ιδιαίτερα την προσπάθεια και την υποστήριξη του Παναρκαδικού Νοσοκομείου και του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου.
Επίσης είχαμε την τιμή να έχουμε 5 πρωην προέδρους της Παναρκαδικής Ομοσπονδίας της Αμερικής, κος Γιώργος Κ. Σουρούνης (1998-2000), κος Δημήτριος Καραλέκας (2004-2006), Δρ Παναγιώτης Ευαγγέλου (2006-2008), κος Ευάγγελος Ποτάκης (2010-2012) και κος Ανδρέας Παπαντωνίου (2016-2022).
