On April 20, 2018, the Pan Arcadian Federation of America held the opening ceremony of the General Registry of Greek-American Arcadians in the USA and Repatriates from the United States to Greece at the Metropolitan Club of New York.
On July 28, 2018, at the 3rd Pan-Ilian Gathering of Expatriate Greeks in Amaliada, Ilia, the Special Advisor to Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, on issues of Greek Diaspora, Mrs. Katerina Panagopoulos, said: “The Greek Diaspora is at a historic turning point. It is necessary to update the national registry of Greek Diaspora in order to create a new communication platform for everyone with everyone, to develop a new mutual relationship between Greeks and expatriate entrepreneurs, to revive the institution of national benefactors, to have ideas and proposals for the interconnection of universities in order to promote research and make good use of Greek scientists “.
The conception of the idea justifies the Pan Arcadian Federation of America as it began planning the General Registry of Greek-American Arcadians in the USA two years ago and presented it on 22 April 2018 in New York.
It is clear that, following the political initiative manifesting at the prime ministerial and governmental level, the responsibility for the implementation of the General Registry of Greek-American Arcadians project is growing in the US and the responsibility is enormous!
