Tripoli Greeks ! Hoping someone can help…I am trying to help my friend and her newly found great aunt find their Greek relatives /connections in Tripoli. Great aunt is in her 80s and was kind enough to provide this picture of her parents. Her Greek father immigrated to US in 1914. His name was Louis Giftako Wallace. We believe Wallace was added in the states, he was a stowaway so doesn’t show up on any immigration records.
His father was John Giftako and mother Anna Doulo. Louis was Born in Tripoli around July 20 1892 or 1894.
He had a brother Peter that was in the Greek army.
If anyone knows of this family or has heard the surname “Giftako” please lmk !! Any help is much appreciated
