A donation of € 25 million by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation to the Fire Brigade with the aim of “contributing to the difficult task of the Fire Brigade Men and Women who are at the forefront of protecting the country’s inhabitants and their natural wealth”.
As the Stavros Niarchos Foundation notes:
The donation will be primarily devoted to the maintenance and eventual purchase of firefighting equipment, as well as training actions to help prevent and respond promptly to emergencies.
